I recently learned that “millennials” are individuals born between the years of 1983-1997. Being born in 1987 makes me a millenial. I am a part of the group of individuals that will be the future.
I get why the earlier generations would consider my peers and I “’spoiled” and “brats.” That’s cool. We’re all entitled our own opinions. That’s the great thing about this country. But I partially disagree with that stereotype. Not all of us young people behave that way. It’s all how we were brought up. Yeah, as children we were told, “You can be anything you want to be,” and that is true. But you have to work for it. My parents aren’t the typical “helicopter parents” hovering over my every move. My parents told me I had to work hard and that nothing is going to be handed to me on a silver plate. They told me that the “real world” is nothing like I imagine it to be. They said it’s going to be hard. And I believe them. Which is why I work hard. I know how much my parents sacrifice to pay my way through college. I work part-time to help them with the expenses. It just irritates me when people see me and assume that because I’m a “millenial” that I am a bratty kid with mommy and daddy’s money. I guess that just makes me work twice as hard. Those parents who just hand things to their children do not realize that they are influencing the future of the economy and nation. I think it’s all how parents raise their children. And my parents did a pretty darn good job.
Being born in 1987 does have its advantages. Look at all the technological advances out there. I am able to find information on the internet in less than 10 seconds. My parents and grandparents didn’t have that at their fingertips. Children are getting cell-phones when they’re 8 years old. It’s crazy and little insane. Why would an 8 year old need a cell-phone? Another one of those parents who are giving us millienals a bad rep. Anyway, with all the technological advances today, millenials have become talented and skilled individuals. We can bring the most to the workforce with all the skills we have gained. We are the future of the workforce. We are the change in the workforce. The older generations underestimates us.

Very good. I was looking for a second online reference, in addition to the CBS report I showed you. Also, you need to figure out how to make a word or phrase in your blog post the link, rather than show the URL.
